As we are seeing our first January thaw, I am beginning to contemplate some winter angling. So far the winter is producing good/excellent skiing yet the dangers in the backcountry remain high and risky on many aspects in the higher elevations. Therefore, I hope to have an opportunity to go visit some of my favorite winter lies over the next couple weeks and enjoy a peaceful day on the water. This is a good friend and fellow guide, Dave Smith with a gorgeous brown we bumped into in Febuary of 2007.
