High Water Trout

With an astounding snowpack in the high country we welcomed the warmest days of the season this weekend and with some luck myself and some very good clients/friends found a few nice fish over a two day outing in the Jackson Hole area. This big brownie(24") came from the upper Snake on a bugger not far from the take out, talk about saving the best for last! Steve Mancini of San Diego, CA trusted my instincts to just keep chucking the streamer and his pay off was priceless, this guy is set until his next visit in September, hoping for dry fly mania.
River flows will be ramping upward sharply this week as overnight temps stay relatively warm. The region has 200-300% water equivalent in the current snowpack, well above what the system can handle... we are holding our breathe here for sure.
