Fall report- October at its best!
Drew Cosby enjoying the fall action in JH.
Just as it appeared winter conditions were rushing in two weeks ago the weather turned back to a warm pattern that keeps the trout of our area looking up, in fact hoppers and attractors are still getting some attention on the Snake River. In my opinion when these conditions unfold it is the best window for an angler throughout the entire year with nice sized trout feeding on the surface among snow capped peaks and no crowds whatsoever.
To JH Legends, Tom Montgomery & Paul Bruun elated with the trout of autumn.
Obviously no fall report would be complete without mention of brown trout. For the determined rewards do await and sometimes you can score big. Pre & post spawn trout can be aggressive and streamer fishing can be every much as gratifying as a good day fishing dries, your numbers are generally less but the anticipation of the big grab is exciting. Be aware the fish are spawning and never wade in shallow redds.
Henry & Susan Cadwalader super psyched in Western Wyoming... great to see a mother & son fishing combination!
